SOPHIE
Hey, I’m Sophie, founder of OKPT Active. I’ve been coaching for over 12 years now (still slightly in denial about that), and I genuinely love what I do—helping people discover what their bodies can do, build strength and confidence, and feel proud of themselves.
I opened OKPT Active in October 2024, and it’s been a bit of a whirlwind. I didn’t fully realise I’d become a business owner overnight, but while it’s been challenging, it’s also been amazing. The best part is the community we’ve built—supportive, driven, and full of people who show up for themselves and each other. I get to coach, encourage, and be inspired by them every day.
We’ve kept the gym small on purpose. You’re not just another face here—we meet you where you’re at and help you grow, with group training that still feels personal.
I’ve got a pretty wide sporting background from rowing and athletics to rugby, showjumping and CrossFit! I have now turned my effort to training and competing in calisthenics—recently winning Gold in Endurance at the 3 Nations Cup.
My approach is simple: work hard, give your best, and remember your best will look different every day—and that’s okay. Just make yourself proud.
Alongside the gym, I also coach online through OK Empower and host a daily podcast, Empower Her Daily.
Fun fact: I’ve got a Master’s in Psychoanalysis in Children, which definitely influences how I coach and understand people.

Hi, I’m Johanne, a coach at OKPT Active, and my journey started in the same place as many of my clients — feeling like I had no time for myself. Juggling work, life, and being a busy mum, I’d lost who I was — until I found the gym. From my first nervous session as a trainee to now standing on the other side of the room as a coach, that shift in confidence changed everything.
My philosophy as a fitness coach is this: “It’s a dance, make it look beautiful. Fitness is a dance — a beautiful blend of strength, rhythm, and resilience — where every session, every rep, and every win becomes part of that flow.
I see myself in every new nervous face, every unsure step, and every “I don’t think I can do this.” Through raising a family, managing a busy schedule, and learning to prioritise myself, I’ve come to understand how powerful small, consistent steps can be. I’m passionate about helping people feel stronger, more confident, and more capable in the gym, and I’m committed to doing so with warmth, encouragement, and a whole lot of belief in you.
Fun fact about me: I was once on a Channel 4 medical show filming for work — still a strange but fun little highlight in an otherwise normal‑looking life.
